3rd Annual UTV Rally

The UTVGuide.net Teryx on Cliffhanger Trail
May 13 - 16, 2009
UTV Rally - Moab, Utah
I brought our 2008 Kawasaki Teryx for the trip to Moab. I had recently
installed a Warn XT 40
winch up front, and also a set of
Fox 2.0
RC2 triple adjustable shocks with some progressive springs from King Springs
so I was anxious to try out a few new toys on the trails around Moab.
I hooked up with two other Kawasaki Teryx owners for all of the rides at the UTV
Rally - Reid and his son Trevor in a 2009 Teryx Sport and Dean in his red 2008
Teryx. We went on organized UTV Rally trails each day except Saturday.
Wednesday - Cliffhanger:
Cliffhanger is west of Moab and starts off of Kane Creek
Road. Cliffhanger ends at a sheer cliff above the Colorado River that has
some spectacular views.
Cliffhanger is rated as a 6 by the Red Rock 4 Wheelers.

Friday - Pritchett Canyon:
Pritchett Canyon trail head is west of Moab and starts off
of Kane Creek Road. In order to access the trail, you will need to cross
private land and pay a fee.
Pritchett Canyon trail climbs the lower part of the canyon
and exits at Rocker Knocker via a side canyon over a divide into the Hunter
Canyon.
Pritchett Canyon is rated as a 8 by the Red Rock 4 Wheelers.

Saturday - Hell's Revenge:
Hell's Revenge Trail is on the northeast side of town just
off of Sand Flats Road. There is a fee of $5 per vehicle to enter.
Hell's Revenge Trail is almost continuous slick rock with
just a bit of blow sand mixed in. There are also rock ledges, broken
rock and sandy dirt. Most of the tough obstacles have bypasses.
Lots of Jeep & Hummer tours bring tourists out on this
trail so it is a good idea to start early if you are going on a weekend.
In a few places, the trail crosses the Slickrock Bike
Trail.
Hell's Revenge is rated as a 6 by the Red Rock 4 Wheelers.
