Polaris RZR

Polaris RZR 800 EFI
Polaris Ranger RZR 800 EFI

2009 Polaris RZR Changes:

New for 2009, RANGER RZR and RANGER RZR S have improved, low-speed drivability due to the inclusion of a heel pocket which allows more controlled operation of the gas pedal. Operators also will find improved transmission shifting, a more durable shoulder bolster, reduced exhaust noise and covered, under-seat storage.

Air Intake Fix - Looks like the throttle body now has a lip to help keep the boot on. The boot that connects the filter housing to the throttle body has a few bellows that help with flex, and the filter is much larger. More details.

The exhaust tip for the 2009 RZR is pointed down a bit.  Polaris claims that the exhaust noise output has been reduced for 2009 models.

2009 Polaris RZR - Rectifier
Regulator/Rectifier has been moved up front near the radiator for better cooling.

2009 Polaris RZR S Long Travel Suspension

Polaris also increased the strength of the roll cage by 30%, reinforced the upper shock mounts and reinforced the front and rear frame. We have not confirmed whether these changes are only for the RZR S, or if they are included on the standard RZR.

Unfortunately, the engine many had hoped would end up in the RZR only made it into the 2009 Sportsman ATV.  The 850c twin EFI churns out 70 horsepower.  Maybe an early release 2010 RZR?
