Polaris Ranger 6x6 - Warwick EMS

Warwick Emergency Medical Services
Information:
Warwick Emergency Medical Services uses their Polaris Ranger
6x6 to cover approx. 25 miles of the Appalachian Trail, where normal
ambulance vehicles cannot reach. The Ranger is also very helpful
during large sporting events and gatherings where maneuvering amongst crowds
makes a larger vehicle untenable.
Modifications:
Before Warwick Ambulance could use their
Ranger 6x6, they needed to customize it a bit for their unique needs. For
that, they turned to TerraTor Corporation and selected a EMSter™. The unit
is designed to be able to get to a victim's location where a normal
ambulance cannot go and shuttle the victim back to the waiting ambulance.

The EMSter™ completely replaces the Ranger's original bed.

Each standard unit consists of a box platform that can
accommodate a flat board, stokes basket or a medical bed. Under the flat
carry surface are 14 cubic inches of storage space. Behind the EMTs seat is
further storage amounting to 2 cubic feet.
