There are three separate dune areas at the Oregon Dune National
Recreation Area. Florence in the north; Winchester Bay (Umqua Dunes) in
the middle and Coos Bay in the south. You cannot travel by OHV between these
three areas.
Directions: From Florence travel 7 miles south to the Siltcoos Beach
Access Road. Turn west on Siltcoos Beach Access Road and proceed 1.5 miles west
to Driftwood II Campground.

Three miles south of Florence on scenic Highway 101 is the
second largest overnight camp in the state. There are two miles of sand dunes
between the park and the ocean. Two natural freshwater lakes are within the
park.

Directions: Three miles south of Florence on scenic

Dune Access: Florence (South Jetty to Siltcoos). Access
the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area directly from your campsite in H loop
of the campground.
Private campground. 60 RV sites with full hookups. Dune access
is very close, short ride on pavement. The park is located on Half Moon
Bay below the Umpqua Lighthouse. Access to Winchester Bay/Umqua Dunes.

Directions:
- From Reedsport: south 2 miles on US 101 to Winchester Bay. Turn
right at Pelican Market onto Salmon Harbor Drive. Proceed 1 mile and
Discovery Point Resort is on the left hand side.
- From North Bend: US 101 north to Winchester Bay. Turn left at Pelican
Market onto Salmon Harbor Drive. Proceed 1 mile and Discovery Point
Resort is on the left hand side.
Private campground, near Hauser day use area. The Oregon Dunes KOA is a very nice site. Each camping
site is a good size. Mostly gravel so parking for toys is adequate.
Downside is distance to dunes from the campground. All sites have water,
electric, sewer, and TV hookups. There are a few big sites available: 70 - 75
ft. Kabins and Tent sites are also available if you don't have an RV.
Location: North Bend, Oregon.
Directions: Milemarker 229 on US 101. North of Coos Bay, and
South of Reedsport.
Directions: From North Bend, proceed north 1.5 miles to
Jordan Cove Road. Turn left and proceed 1 mile, turning right on Transpacific
Highway. Travel 100 feet turning right on Horsfall Beach Road. Proceed ½ mile
and turn right into the Horsfall Campground & Day Use Area.
Access: From North Bend, proceed north 1.5 miles to Jordan
Cove Road. Turn left and proceed 1 mile, turning right on Transpacific Highway.
Travel 100 feet, turning right on Horsfall Beach Road. Proceed 3 miles to the
Horsfall Beach Campground & Day Use Area.

Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, only group sites
are reservable during this period.

Sand Camping Regulations:
Possession of alcohol is prohibited.
Camp only within designated sites, and within 100 feet of site posts.
Pack out trash and keep bagged while camping.
Drown campfires with water; do not burn cans or bottles.
Use portable toilets or restroom facilities.
Standard sites are limited to 5 vehicles/20 people.
Group sites are limited to 10 vehicles/40 people
Site use is non-transferable, revocable and fee is non-refundable.
Violation of conditions may result in a citation, fine and/or revocation
of permit.
Obey all Federal and State laws.
What is different from previous years?
Camping will only be allowed in designated Sand Campsites. Standard
sites have a maximum capacity of 5 primary vehicles and 20 people.
Group Sand Campsites have a maximum capacity of 10 primary vehicles and
40 people.
Only the primary permit holder completes a sand camping permit for a
designated site and deposit the OFFICE COPY portion of the permit in the
fee tube. The permit has 5 individual permit stubs that each vehicle in
the site must display along with a valid recreation pass.
