From Kermit, take Hwy 115 northeast about 10 miles past the
junction of FM 874.
Kermit Dunes Camping Area:
Primitive camping is available. Water and Electric now
available.

Kermit Day Use/Camping Area
Area Managed By:
Mostly private land. County Sheriff does patrol the area.

land in Texas:

OHV Registration sticker required.

A helmet, properly fastened, and eye protection are
required year round.

ATV must be equipped with an Effective brake system.
-
ATV must be equipped with a muffler system in good working
condition.
-
ATV must be equipped with a USFS qualified spark arrester.
-
ATV must be equipped with an effective headlight and
taillight (if riding after dark).
ATV operators younger than 14 years of age MUST be under the
direct supervision of a parent or guardian.

Other Information:
The dunes are mostly privately owned and are adjacent to the Monahans
Sandhills State Park where OHV use is NOT permitted. If OHV users do
not respect the land, we will be fenced out. Pack out your trash and
please tread lightly.
