California Mobile Vehicle Registration
When I finished with the assembly of my newest sand car, I
really didn't want to go through the whole DMV hassle this go round. I had heard
of DMV registration services, and found that Lisa's Mobile Registration deals
with off-highway vehicles all the time.
Lisa is based in Southern California, and does a lot of work
where she comes to you and fills out all of paperwork. Since I was based
in Northern California, Lisa mailed me a packet with a few forms. Only a few areas
were highlighted for me to fill out. Lisa takes what I filled out, and
copies of my receipts and does the rest. It was nice to deal with someone that
knows how to navigate the DMV process (sales tax, manufacturer's statement of
origin, receipts, etc.).
I scheduled a simple appointment with CHP to have my VIN
applied, and everything else was taken care of by Lisa. Nice and simple.
If you are in a bind to get to the dunes sooner than you can get
a OHV Green Sticker, Lisa can also get the process started and get you a
temporary operating permit. Perfect for us habitual procrastinators.
