Can-Am DS 450 Ripping up the Dunes
Can-Am's 2011 model
year lineup offer's unparalleled performance for all ages and riding levels.
Can-Am's ATVs continue to maintain the benchmark for performance, handling and
control.
From youth models DS 70, DS 90 and DS 90X, to the DS 250 Can-Am
has an ATV for every age and skill level. But if you want performance on the
track, trail or dunes, look no further than the DS 450 family.
With an ultralight chassis featuring the groundbreaking no-weld,
aluminum ALTEC frame and a potent Rotax®
engine, the Can-Am DS 450 has the highest power-to-weight ratio of any
450-class sport ATV.
And if you want to have an ATV that can tackle the dunes and
desert with a 71 horsepower Rotax
800 V-Twin engine, there
is the Can-Am Renegade
800R with its unique blend of sport and utility trail manners.
2011 Can-Am Renegade 800R Family
Returning in 2011 is BRP’s highly successful Can-Am®
Renegade™ 800R
with its unique blend of sport and utility trail manners. BRP also brings
back the ground-breaking Can-Am Renegade 800R X™
xc package. The X xc was developed through our experience racing at
the highest level of cross-country, the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC)
racing series. Specific features like the industry’s first front sway bar, X
xc-specific DPS™ power
steering calibration are a direct result of that racing experience.
This 80º V-twin engine is still the most powerful ATV engine
in the industry. The liquid-cooled, single overhead cam power plant has four
valves per cylinder and is fed by a 46mm throttle body and two VDO Siemens
fuel injectors. The sophisticated electronic fuel injection system
automatically keeps the 800R engine’s performance at its peak, regardless of
temperature or altitude. The progressive throttle ensures power is
manageable whether in precise rock crawling or opening it up on the
straights.
